What We Do
At Trent Valley Woodturners, we have our own fully equipped workshop with 11 full size lathes and offer a range of activities to cater to woodturning enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced woodturner seeking to enhance your skills, we have something for everyone. Our instructors provide hands-on training and guidance to help you master the art of woodturning. Visitors are welcome to drop in and have a look at what we offer whenever the club is open, although it may be better to contact us in advance to ensure someone best suited to assist you is available.
Professional Demonstrations
Once a month we host a professional demonstrator for an evening demonstration. Visitors are welcome to attend, although there is a small charge for doing so.
Members Hands-On Sessions
The club is open 4 times each week for existing members to use the workshop facilities, exchange ideas and learn from each other.
Learn to Turn Classes
Join our Learn to Turn Classes to gain practical knowledge and experience under the guidance of our experienced turners, most of whom are AWGB approved. Learn the techniques, tools, and safety measures essential for successful woodturning, following a structured course of projects to gradually build skills.
Classes run October- December and January- March
