Explorer Scouts discover Woodturning
On the 12th of May, the 27th Derby (Chaddesden) Explorer Scouts visited the club for a taster session of woodturning.
The group of 13, including leaders, received 1 to 1 tuition on how to turn a piece of timber into a garden dibber… and yes, we did have to explain what a dibber is. It was great to see young people learning the basics of wood turning and hopefully we may have encouraged one or 2 to explore it further.
Thanks to all the club members who came along to support this evening.
